TV-to-PC converter supports both digital and analog TV signals

Taiwan – Compro Technology Inc.’s Compro VideoMate Vista U2800F Hybrid D/A Stick is a USB 2.0-enabled TV-to-PC converter that allows users to watch 1080i HDTV/SDTV quality digital and analog TV (NTSC/PAL/SECAM) programs, as well as listen to FM radio stations on their laptop or desktop PCs. The hybrid DVB-T and analog TV/FM tuner stick comes with a Vista/MCE-compatible remote control with USB IR receiver, and supports MPEG-2 encoding for Windows Media Center. It has personal digital video recording (straight-to-disc recording in VCD/DVD formats); timeshift to pause and instant replay; brightness, hue, saturation, contrast and sharpness adjustment; and TV/audio format functions for each TV channel.

The device features PIP/POP function, allowing simultaneous viewing of one recorded video playback window, one main and three digital TV channel sub windows. It supports EPG, subtitle and teletext; single/multiple still frame capture and remote snapshot; and MPEG-1/2/4 video capture.
